Historical Background.

The COVENANT Community Based Organization is a descendant of the Former Covenant Home organization that was started by Mama Patricia Hellen Botwright (May Her Soul Continue to Rest in Eternal Peace) who had a calling from God to reach out to the world and help the needy hwuke in her home in the United Kingdom back in 1991. She didn't hesitate on having this Conviction and by 1992 she set foot in Kenya where she first established a small home with a few children majorly street boys whom she had rescued from the streets then. She then settled with them for some years at Sigalagala before Constructing a new bigger Children's home Opened in the year 2000. Which would be known as Covenant Home Organization. She ran the home successfully as the Director until the year 2010 when she began having health problems and had to relieve herself of her Directorial duties to an appointed person for about 2years whence she came back from Treatment form the United Kingdom and continued as the Director. As times passed by, management and financial problems rocked the home thus affecting it's day to day running as a Children's home that had quite a demanding basic needs. As the Director of the home, she had to make a difficult decision of approaching a religious Church Organization known as Victory Church Organization which offered to step in and continue running the home by 2013. The later then changed the Name of the Covenant Home Organization to Victory Children's Home Organization with the location remaining to be the same. Mrs. PAT Hellen Botwright still felt the need to continue helping Vulnerable Children and assisting the Needy in the society though on a smaller scale and Scope. And these, she opted to do under the formation of the Covenant Community Based Organization which continues to help the needy and Vulnerable in the society even after her demise in the year 2020. The Covenant Children's Home Organization and by Extension the Covenant CBO, is proud to have changed the lives of many in the Society by Providing jobs , Educating children up to Tertiary levels some of whom are leading good lives today, Assisting in the Community development Projects and Subscription some selected Special cases of older men and women in the surrounding community for a monthly upkeep stipend.
